To understand how animation costs are calculated, you need to understand the different areas involved in the production that might impact your budget.
The table below shows an approximate range of 2D animation costs per minute for small companies and charities. Branded and commercial projects are normally budgeted depending on several factors such as license, exposure, etc:
SIMPLE – £4,400
STANDARD – £6,600
MEDIUM – £13,200
COMPLEX – £17,500
TRADITIONAL (Disney) – Depends on the brief.
