As a creative studio, we believe that we have a responsibility to use our platform for good, and we take that responsibility seriously. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that we’re on the journey to become a B Corp!
B Corps are for-profit companies that are committed to using their business as a force for good. They meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. B Corps are redefining success in business, proving that it’s possible to make a profit while also making a positive impact on the world.
We believe that creativity and responsibility go hand in hand, and we strive to be a company that is transparent, accountable, and environmentally responsible. By becoming a B Corp, we’re taking our commitment to ethicality to the next level.
As we approach the submission of our B Corps application, we are taking a moment to reflect on our journey so far. Our business was established in July, and from the beginning, we had the ambition of becoming a B Corp. To achieve this, we attended seminars and conducted extensive research on all aspects of the B Corp movement. In January, we took the next step and began the application process, enlisting the help of an external company to guide us through the challenging assessment process. We are grateful for the invaluable workshops and support that we have received throughout this process. Being part of a community of businesses that share our vision of making a meaningful impact in the world has been a tremendous opportunity for us to learn and grow.
It involves a comprehensive assessment of a company’s impact on its workers, community, environment, and customers. We have scrutinised every aspect of our operations, making the necessary changes to meet the standards set by B Lab, the non-profit organisation that certifies B Corps.
Despite the challenges, we feel that the endeavour is worthwhile. As a certified B Corp, we will join a community of companies committed to creating a better world. We will take pride in being part of a diverse group that includes businesses of all sizes and industries, ranging from small startups to multinational corporations. We firmly believe that by working together, we can build a more equitable and sustainable future.
Flying Duck Studio Lab’s journey to becoming a certified B Corp, is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to ethical and sustainable business practices. We believe that this certification will help us better serve our clients, our communities, and the planet. We are excited to be part of the B Corp movement and look forward to sharing our progress with you in the coming months.
