Social media campaign showcasing the immersive experience and the wide range of the Sky TV offer, with the help of user-generated reaction videos, blended with extra VFX.
Forty influencers filmed themselves in their homes, appearing like they were watching a film or a tv show. Our main task was to augment the reality around them, changing their surroundings to reflect whatever they were watching, with the help of some VFX.
They were reacting to different shows and genres available on Sky TV, such as Family, Action, Comedy, Cinema, Soul Music, Disaster Movies etc.

Ploy Motion, who art directed the project, hired us along with other animators to help out with extra animations and VFX. The deadline was extremely short and we had to create many different looks, so the workflow needed to be watertight.
The user-generated clips were also inconsistent, and we had to deal with different aspect ratios, codecs and frame-rates.
A clear brief, a solid remote workflow, a reliable team, and a pinch of creative madness.
We spent some time developing the style-frames and the different looks. ensuring that we were keeping the consistency.
Next, we animated all the elements, which had to seamlessly transition from the original user-generated clip.
We then moved on duplicating and tailoring each genre to specific influencers.
We passed all the files to Ploy and she with our projects and the projects from the other animators adapted it to the final celebrities.
Compositing / VFX
Classic 2D compositing, with the help of After Effects. We blended textures, stock footage, particles, effects and gradients to enhance the plain user-generated clips with explosions, graffiti, neon lights, glitters, ghosts and planes!
Software: Adobe After Effects, Mocha, Photoshop.
Everything ran quite smoothly and both Ploy and the Sky producers were impressed with how much we managed to achieve, in such a short time and to such a brilliant standard.
