Wiley created a factual mini-documentary campaign, that showcased inspiring people telling positive stories, and we were asked to add graphics and titles to illustrate part of the content.
As we only had a short amount of time to animate the piece, we had to consider many different aspects. We needed to be efficient and ensure we had the correct number of people on board to work on this. We had to ensure that we could adhere to the deadline and brief, and due to this, we had little or no room to make any amends.
We brought in more animators to work on the different sections and created a pipeline with the different animators to ensure they stayed on task. Our larger team allowed us to work on different assets simultaneously in order to meet the deadline. Good communication was a vital part of this process too.
After receiving some designs from the client, we adapted everything to an animated, friendly format. Then add 3D cameras to create the parallax effect.
We use Illustrator and Photoshop to transfer the assets in After Effects. Then we recreated the style to match the initial designs. We added a 3D environment, and we used the parallax effect to give it a dynamic feel.
A beautiful set of videos were produced for the first series, and the client returned to ask us to complete the second series too. We were initially hired to only do three, but due to how happy the client was with our work, we were then commissioned to do another four.
